This is a rare unique cast iron piece. I have no idea what it is. A few "experts" said it was a safety kettle and a few said it was an odorless kettle.
Use the pictures to judge yourself. I don't see a brand name. The fire ring on the bottom is offset the hole goes from the fir ring up to inside the lid. The lid is a sheet metal tin type material not cast but fits perfectly and is believed to be 100% orig to the pot (is believed not guaranteed) there is a vent hole on top. The outside and inside have a very smooth finish (to me it seems smoother than most almost like a machined finish but maybe I'm wrong). The white coating I have no idea what it is it may be paint but it seems to durable n scratch resistant to me so maybe a glaze or ceramic but maybe paint. It has a handle with wood grip.
I don't see any cracks or damage to it. It's old and rare you won't find another especiallly with the lid. So make your own judgements. I didn't try and clean anything what so ever this way you can do as you wish. This was a neat estate find.Ships to continental 48 states only no acceptions.
