Offered is the pictured very rare Wapak #12 skillet. The skillet has a little wobble and was likely that way immediately after casting and cooling. It is not heat damage from abuse. The skillet also has a very tight 2 inch hairline crack that is the direction of the milling marks. It does not run from the cooking surface to the edge of the side like most usually do. The hairline can be seen right in the center of picture 8. It is so slight that it escaped detection by me until I was taking these photos and the lighting was perfect for examining the piece. It was also likely there right after the skillet was cast.

The cooking surface, back surface and outside surfaces are as good as they come. It would be very hard to find a better looking skillet than this one. It displays like a million dollars.

These skillets are hard to find in this size and they make the #14 Griswold and even the number #13 Griswold look relatively common. There are four #13 Griswolds listed as I type this. This is the only #12 Wapak Indian Chief logo. It wouldn't hurt my feelings at all to keep it.

They are never going to get any cheaper or easier to find. This item has been relisted due to the winner not paying. The item "Early Indian Chief Logo WAPAK #12 Cast Iron Skillet with Heat Ring" is in sale since Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
