This pan sits Flat and the lid fits on the pan as it should. There is minimal pitting inside the loaf pan and there is some pitting on the lid as seen in pictures. The lid handle has the famous casting seem as seen in picture 6 (I have looked closely at the handle and it is not a crack) The Logo on the bottom of the loaf pan is crisp and clearly visible as well as the logo on the under side of the lid is crisp and clearly visible. This is a great set and I have heat cleaned both pieces using no chemicals and seasoned 1 time with Crisco on 400 degrees for 1 hour.
