Vintage Griswold No 12 (719B) Skillet & Lid (472) Excellent Restored Cond

Vintage small logo Griswold No 12 cast iron skillet with matching lid in restored condition. The cooking surface is in excellent condition and is glass smooth to the touch with light utensil scoring.

Surface has a slight downward bow, but does not pass the heat ring. Ten sheets of printer paper stops movement on a glass stove top. The pan is still well balanced, with only the slightest amount of movement when holding the handle.

Movement only occurs when pressing on the skillet sides. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin. This item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process insures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more.

One round of seasoning at 450 degrees with Crisco for several hours. No chips, cracks or repairs to the pan. This item is photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details.
