Antique 10-Quart Cast Iron Fruit / Lard Press No. 3 Griswold-Type Very Nice Cond

3 cast-iron fruit / lard press in the early Griswold-type style. Heavy cast iron frame, with perforated basket and smooth-turning screw handle. Rich, even patina and solid construction; no cracks or repairs.

Shows the light, honest wear expected for its age. Seems to be missing the original internal drain plate, a common omission, but it's an easy piece to reproduce if desired for pressing use. A handsome, functional example that also makes a striking farmhouse display. This is a big, heavy piece (about 29 lbs), and I'll make sure it's properly packed in a new, heavy-duty box, well-padded, and fully insured for a safe trip.
