Early (1890s-1910) Wagner No 9 Cast Iron Waffle Maker Restored Condition

This is a vintage 100+ year old Wagner No 9 cast iron waffle iron in restored condition. All Wagner No 9 waffle irons are far less common than the No 8s. This waffle iron was manufactured sometime between the 1890s & 1910. Original wood handles are still present and tight on their mounts.

There is some sulfur erosion to the center of each paddle. No chips cracks or repairs. This waffle iron has been stripped down to bare metal using collector-approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal of all residue from previous use, making it safe to use once more.

The item has been lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 degrees for one hour. The waffle iron was photographed in very bright light to highlight its fine details. Under these lighting conditions, items may appear brown; however, they are much darker under normal light.
