Rare fully marked VICTOR No 6 cast iron skillet in restored condition. This pans cooking surface was bight orange and loaded with carbon build up on the bottom. Almost unrecognizable when I found it.
Now fully cleaned, the outside of the skillet is in exceptional condition. The cooking surface has pitting. The No 6 skillet is the second hardest to locate in the series. Four sheets of printer paper stops movement on a glass stove top. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin.This item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process insures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more.
One round of seasoning at 450 degrees with Crisco for several hours. No chips, cracks or repairs to the pan. This item is photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, pan may take on a brown color. Pan is much darker under normal light.Photos are part of the items description.
