Restored GRISWOLD Cast Iron SKILLET Pan #10 Small Logo 12

Restored GRISWOLD Cast Iron SKILLET Pan #10 Small Logo 12 Diameter. Logo is crisp and clean. Bottom of the pan is very nice with just a small.

Scratch on the bottom above the No. 10 and there are a few casting flaws typical of that time period. An has a slight wobble. 2 index cards at about 10:30 seems to neutralize the movement. It wouldn't be an issue to me on my gas grate stove but I'm not sure how you'd feel on a glass top stove. The pan's cooking surface has some utensil marks and the surface has some damage but is fairly smooth to the touch for the most part. The inside uprights have a line all the way around the (about the bottom inch) with light surface damage all the way around (see pictures so you know what I'm talking about). I've owned a Griswold chicken fryer for several years that has this same type of surface damage but it cooks normally and has improved with use. My best guess on how this type of damage was caused is that maybe liquid was left in the pan at some point in its life and it made a more permanent ring around that bottom inch of the pan. The same inside 1 area by the handle side is actual pitting, please see last picture where I'm pointing that out. There are some discolorations but those tend to blend in as you use the pan and it naturally darkens up further from that use. Please see and enlarge all pictures as they are part of the description. If you want additional pictures of any area, don't hesitate to ask. I want you to have all the information you need to make a good decision for yourself. I personally wouldn't even think of cooking a meal for my family in some of those pans. Honestly I think some people think "restored" means they've slapped some oil on it. Every pan I sell has been restored by removing the old seasoning/gunk via electrolysis then they are well seasoned with a minimum of three rounds of seasoning.

At last count this pan has been seasoned 8 rounds- Each time I have had room in a load. I'm a perfectionist with a good work ethic and I always try my hardest to make every pan look as new as possible. If there is some discoloration left in a pan, it's because it's not coming off.

You will NOT be cooking on some stranger's yucky gunky mess. This skillet is ready to use or gift as soon as you get it home.

I think you'll enjoy this well made Griswold pan. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Kitchen & Home\Cookware\Other Collectible Cookware". The seller is "castironwhisperer1" and is located in this country: US.
