Brand New in Original Box Staub Enameled Cast Iron Essential French Oven Pine Tree Distinguished by a towering pine tree etched into its glossy enamel lid, this Staub oven is a memorable addition to holiday dinners, potlucks and special occasions. Steady-heating cast iron makes this pot ideal for slow-simmering a soup or stew, roasting a chicken with vegetables, braising short ribs, or preparing a side dish for a holiday feast.

Heavyweight enameled cast iron transfers and retains heat evenly. Multicoat enameling creates a glossy, vibrantly colored "majolique" finish that resembles fine ceramics.

Innovative domed Chistera lid features spikes that promote self-basting to keep food moist. Lid is embossed with a decorative pine tree pattern and topped with a nickel-plated brass knob. Resistant to rust, chipping and cracking, the coating requires no additional seasoning like some other cast-iron pieces. 4 1/4" high (5 3/4" high with lid). Additional InformationSpecially formulated black matte interior enamel of each piece contains traces of quartz, giving it additional heat resistance and a rougher surface resulting in better browning. Smooth enameled base is compatible with all cooktops, including induction. Extra-heavy lid seals in moisture for tender, flavorful results. Oven and broiler safe up to 500°F. For best results use low to medium heat. When using high heat, bring your pan slowly to a high temperature.

Use plastic, wood or nylon utensils only; metal utensils may damage the enamel. Enamel may chip or crack if banged against a hard surface. Handles and knobs can become very hot.

CareAllow pan to cool before washing. Stubborn stains can be removed by soaking your pot for a few minutes in hot, soapy water. Completely dry pan before storing.
