Vintage Block Logo Griswold No 9 (710L) Cast Iron Skillet Excel Restored Cond

Vintage No 9 Griswold cast iron skillet 710L. Large Block logo with the desirable heat ring from the 1920s. The cooking surface has hints of utensil scores very fine etching from corrosion. These are undetectable as you glide your fingers over a glass smooth cooking surface. Eight sheets of printer paper slipped under one edge on the bottom of the pan stops movement on a granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin. Test for flatness of Pan. With the pan resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim of the pan searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the pan until pan stops moving. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process insures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more.

Item is well seasoned with several rounds of seasoning. This items were photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item will take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light.
