This is a 1st series Erie Skillet produced in the early 1880's with a outside heat ring, making it over 130 years old. This skillet sits Dead Flat which is nearly unheard of for a pan this large. The measurements are approximately 17 1/2 inches from the end of the handle to the edge of the pan, 13 1/4 inches spout to spout, 2 1/2 inches deep. There is pitting on the logo side of the skillet.
This skillet has the wonderful slick smooth cooking surface that the Vintage Erie Cast Iron is known for. The weight of this large pan is only 5 pounds which is great as opposed to the heavier Cast Iron made today. I can't say enough good things about the way that the Erie Cast Iron cooks. Please feel free to ask questions and see the photos as part of the description and.
