VINTAGE GRISWOLD BIG BLOCK CAST IRON TITE-TOP DUTCH OVEN # 8 with LID & TRIVET GUC

We are pleased to offer for your consideration a previously owned and gently used VINTAGE GRISWOLD BIG BLOCK LOGO CAST IRON TITE-TOP DUTCH OVEN # 8 with ORIGINAL LID and TRIVET. This Dutch Oven pot is marked on the bottom: THE GRISWOLD MFG.

CAST 8 IRON TITE-TOP DUTCH OVEN Griswold Big Block logo ERIE. 833 F; 8 on the top of each handle. The lid is marked on the top in raised letters: GRISWOLD No 8 TITE-TOP DUTCH OVEN; on the underside: PATENTED FEB. Griswold Big Block logo ERIE PA.

The footed trivet is marked on the footed underside: THE GRISWOLD MFG. All three have been carefully cleaned and restored, ready to use after seasoning. CONDITION: This Dutch Oven pot is in very good clean gently used condition with no pitting, no cracks, no damage or repairs noted.

The pot is bowed down a little in the center causing it to wobble on a hard glass surface (should be fine on a burner). It can be easily corrected by placing 3 playing cards underneath at each handle and the lift tab. The inside is very smooth to the touch, but it does have some minor utensil scratches. The lid sits perfectly flat on the pot. It is in very good condition with no flaws or damage noted.

The trivet also sits flat. It is in very good clean condition with no damage noted; there may be a tiny bit of fine shallow pitting on the bottom of the feet, but it may just be the fact that the iron was not polished at the factory. MEASUREMENTS: This Dutch Oven Pot measures approximately 10 1/4" across the top; 12 1/8" across from edge of handle to opposite edge of handle; 4 1/8 high on the outside; cooking surface approx. 7 1/4 high with lid.
