Vintage Griswold No 6 (697) Fully Marked Cast Iron Skillet Ex Restored Condition

There were only 5 sizes in this series, and the No 6 is the second hardest to locate in the series. The cooking surface has light utensil scores and only hints of etching from corrosion. These are undetectable as you glide your fingers over a glass smooth surface.

One sheet of printer paper stops movement on a granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin. Test for flatness of item. With the item resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim of the item searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until pot stops moving.

Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process insures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is well seasoned with several rounds of seasoning. This items were photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details.
