Vintage Le Creuset Raymond Loewy Tostador Grill Elysée Yellow MCM France 1960s. Vintage Le Creuset Tostador enameled cast iron grill designed in collaboration with legendary industrial designer Raymond Loewy. Introduced in the 1960s, this unusual piece features a wonderfully sculptural Mid-Century Modern form with a deeply ribbed grilling surface, integrated grease-catching trough and contrasting black handles. Finished in a striking vintage yellow/chartreuse enamel, this is both functional cookware and a fantastic display piece for a collector of Le Creuset, Raymond Loewy or Mid-Century Modern kitchen design.
Approximate measurements: 11" x 12" overall - the 12 measurement includes the handles. The ribbed surface was designed for grilling meats while allowing rendered fat and juices to drain into the recessed trough at one end.Condition: Vintage preowned condition with visible signs of age and previous use, including surface marks, discoloration/residue, staining in the recessed and ribbed areas, small areas of enamel wear and other normal cosmetic wear. Black handles also show age/use. We have not aggressively cleaned or restored the piece. Please review all photos closely as they are an important part of the condition description. A distinctive and increasingly uncommon example of 1960s Le Creuset × Raymond Loewy industrial design -equally cool displayed in a vintage kitchen as it is put back into service.
