Vintage Unmarked Wagner Ware No 9 Cast Iron Chicken Fryer Skillet Restored Cond

Unmarked Wagner No 9 deep chicken fryer skillet with cover, also unmarked but probably cast by Favorite. The cover fits the fryer nicely. The cooking surface is near glass smooth to the touch with a couple patches of pitting. Although unmarked, this is a solid pan resistant to warping that would be excellent as a fryer. Two sheets of printer paper slipped under one edge on the bottom stops movement on a granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin. Test for flatness of skillet.

With the skillet resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until pot stops moving.

Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process insures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more.

Item is well seasoned with several rounds of seasoning. This items were photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item will take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light. Photos are part of the items description.
