Vintage WAPAK No 9 cast iron skillet in restored condition. WAPAK is known for using many of the old ERIE molds. This is a hard to find example of one of those castings.
The cooking surface is glass smooth to the touch with a few light utensil scores. Cooking surface does bow down past the heat ring causing a slight wobble.
Seven sheets of printer paper stops movement on a glass stove-top. No chips or cracks and does not spin. This item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process insures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. One round of seasoning at 450 degrees with Crisco for several hours.
No chips, cracks or repairs to the pan. This item is photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, pan may take on a brown color.
