Vollrath #8 Vintage Restored Cast Iron Chicken Fryer Skillet with Marked Lid

Product Identification This is a superior, fully restored vintage Vollrath #8 cast iron chicken fryer skillet with its original, fully marked lid. This fantastic set features the chicken fryer base with its characteristic deep sides, a heat ring, dual pour spouts, and the size'8' marked on the bottom. The highly desirable lid fits perfectly and is boldly marked VOLLRATH WARE U. On the underside, along with raised basting drippers. Physical Condition This complete chicken fryer set is in excellent restored condition.

Both the base and the lid sit flat with no cracks or repairs. As demonstrated in the video, the skillet base exhibits only a tiny, almost imperceptible wobble (rated 4.75), making it suitable for nearly all cooking surfaces, including most glass tops (though perfect flatness isn't guaranteed on all surfaces). The interior cooking surface of the skillet has some visible light pitting from past use but remains quite smooth overall. The exterior surfaces of both pieces are in fantastic shape. Its condition ratings are: Crack Condition [5], Spin Condition [5], Wobble Condition [4], Interior Surface Condition [5], and Exterior Surface Condition [5].
