This rare piece is in excellent overall condition and includes its base and has no cracks or chips in the cast iron. Happy Hooligan was a comic strip character from the early 1900's created by cartoonist Frederick Burr Opper and the comic was syndicated in newspapers across the U. The piece is marked with "A M Anderson & Co Chicago ILL" on one side and "Happy Hooligan Wafer Krumkager" on the other side the iron measures approximately 6" in diameter and the base measures approximately 9-1/2" in diameter at its widest point. Both the iron and base have spring wire handles.
