Vintage 105+ yr old plated Wagner Ware No 9A cast iron skillet in excellent restored condition. Wagner Ware cast iron produced before WWII are the finest in quality for that time period. They tend to have very few casting flaws resulting in very smooth polished finish on both the interior and exterior surfaces. These plated skillets featured extra polishing at the factory that produced mirror finishes on the exterior sides. The cooking surface has some light utensil scores and a few tiny patches of fine etching from corrosion. These are undetectable as you glide your fingers over a glass smooth surface. One sheet of printer paper slipped under one edge stops movement on a granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin. Test for flatness of Pan.

With the pan resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim of the pan searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the pan until pan stops moving. This item is from an old collection and was cleaned and seasoned, then stored for many years. Because item was stored for many years, there may be spots of light surface rust. This can generally be washed away then re-seasoned before use.
